BEHIND THE CAMERA

A Dad with a camera capturing imperfect moments.

I’m Malcomn, a photographer and dad based in Los Angeles with a love for the little things and a desire to preserve the moments that pass by way too quickly.

I picked up a camera because I wanted to capture moments and preserve memories. Life changes fast, and being able to freeze a small piece of it became important to me.

That became even more meaningful after my daughter was born.

Watching her grow made me realize just how quickly ordinary moments become memories. I wanted to preserve those moments not only for myself, but for her to be able to look back on one day.

That’s what photography has become for me, preserving a little piece of life before it changes.

And when I photograph someone else, I try to give them the same thing: something real to look back on.

Why I picked up a camera.

A man and a young girl are at a fountain in an urban area with tall apartment buildings. The man is smiling, wearing a purple 'LA' cap, gray shirt, black pants, and shoes. The girl is facing away, hugging the man, wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and pink Crocs. They are beside a shopping bag and a baseball-themed shopping bag from Major League Baseball Clubhouse Shops.

My Approach

No perfect moments required.

You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I also want to leave room for you to move, laugh, interact, and simply be yourself.

Because somewhere between the photos we planned are usually the moments worth remembering.

Your moments deserve to be remembered, too.

Whether it’s a milestone or simply life as it is right now, let’s preserve something you’ll be able to look back on.
